Why I chose art

Fine art is something I always enjoyed doing. In high school, I won a few awards for creating some paintings and pieces for the FAFO art walk in Florida. I also always enjoyed doodling in my notebook during classes and art has always been something that I just come back to as an outlet during study periods in college.

Now I am waiting to get into graduate school. I am a history major and I need a few extra funds.  Under this time constraint and due to lack of resources I feel that turning to art is a good outlet for me. So I want to pursue freelance painting to see where it can take me and what it is like to make a few extra dollars to fund my college expenses.

As I followed this idea, I went to the nearest craft store about two weeks ago and stocked up on all my primary colors and essential artist tools to start making art. Some of the materials that I will be using in this following set are Master's touch acrylic paints, The Fine Touch Brush Set, and white, acid-free, acrylic gesso primed canvas. I want to paint pieces that people will put on their walls, like landscapes and seascapes. I find that I enjoy these topics because the earth around us is beautiful and bringing a little bit of nature inside can make a house feel more like a home in any space.

I will be sharing more information about my progress painting and I will share information about upcoming prints for sale in my store, which you can see here. Also, if you like you can take a look at my portfolio within future announcements.

Please take the time to follow my social media accounts and like, share, and comment as we paint together. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Caro Rose
